Diagnostic ports can be found in heavy trucks and equipments, sometimes with multiple ports present in one model. Depending on the year and model of manufacture, common observed interfaces include 6 Pos J1708, 9 Pos J1939 Type I and II, 14Pos RP1226 and 16Pos J1962 OBD II. The standard J1939 9 Pos, now refer to ‘Type I’ connector was initially designed with bus speed of 250K bits/s. The later introduced ‘Type II’ green connector, designed to adapt to increased speed of 500K bits/s and compatible with Type I connector.
Other categories of transportation interconnect used in complex wire harness connections are further designed and developed internally, fully compatible to solutions available in the industry. These wire to wire interconnect solutions include a range of pin configurations incorporate with wedgelock, and are designed to withstand tough external and controlled conditions.
